Our Community Comes Together

Shavuah Tov,

We are saddened and shocked by the shooting, during Shabbat morning services, at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Our hearts go out to the synagogue members and the neighborhood terrorized by this violence. Our congregation joins the country in mourning the loss of these innocent lives.
We also pray for the first responders and express gratitude for their bravery. We are grateful that some of our law enforcement friends have reached out to us offering support. Our continuing relationship with the Anti-Defamation League brings us valued guidance.
We are tightening and increasing security at Beth El and have been assured that patrols and law enforcement presence will also be increasing.
At this time, let us all pause and think about the way in which anger and hatred have increased in America and pray and act for love and tolerance.

There will be a community service held at Congregation Beth Israel (10460 N 56th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85253) at 7:00 pm on Monday night, October 29th.

Sincerely,
Linda Barzilai, Co-President
