Meet Cantor Nissim Nati
Cantor Nissim was the top choice for all members of the High Holy Day Cantor Search Committee, and we are so pleased he will be joining us. Cantor Nissim was born in California, and raised in Tzfat, Israel before returning to the U.S. to attend Jewish Seminary (yeshiva). He graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Jewish Studies and the Cantorial Arts. He has extensive experience in traditional, contemporary, and popular melodies while serving in conservative and reform synagogues throughout the United States. In addition, he plays the guitar and piano and speaks Hebrew, English, Yiddish, Italian, Swedish, French, and German. Cantor Nissim and his family are excited to join our community for the holidays. With Rabbi Stein Kokin, he will engage our congregation with ruach-filled melodies to enhance our worship and bring our community together as we seek renewal and forgiveness during the Days of Awe.
