Our Mission
At the Beth El Early Childhood Center, our mission is to engage children in hands-on, minds-on activities that teach them HOW to think, not WHAT to think. We empower children to find their voices and solve problems through creativity and innovation.
Quality Standards
The Beth El Early Childhood Center is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and actively participates in Quality First, Arizona's preschool support and rating program. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of early learning by collaborating with childcare and preschool providers throughout Arizona.
What This Means for Your Child:
- Our teachers are trained to work effectively with infants through preschoolers, employing developmentally appropriate practices.
- We create a nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional, social, language, and cognitive development for every child.
- We cultivate positive, consistent relationships that provide young children with the individual attention they deserve.
To ensure we meet these high standards, Quality First conducts a comprehensive, independent evaluation of our Center every two years. This evaluation utilizes nationally recognized tools such as the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS) and the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) to assess the quality of our environment and the interactions between our teachers and children.
Curriculum Overview
We offer a STEAM-based curriculum designed to foster confident, independent learners. This method employs a hands-on, systematic approach to teach science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, while also developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Our curriculum is implemented through:
- Small Group Instruction
- Low Child to Teacher Ratio
- Multiple Learning Environments
- Enrichment Classes
Additionally, the Beth El Early Childhood Center incorporates the Lifetime Adventures curriculum. This approach is grounded in the belief that children learn best through active participation. Research indicates that children thrive through repetition and practice, especially when given the opportunity to explore their environment. Therefore, we emphasize creating an environment that allows for intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
We are committed to providing a rich, supportive educational experience that prepares children for future success.
