Social Action Committee meetings occur on the 1st Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 pm. Contact socialaction@bethelphoenix.com to join the committee or to attend a meeting.

June Social Action Project
Please consider donating what you can to our Father's Day Snack Lunch Drive on June 20th! Please create sack lunches to drop off at Beth El that will be distributed directly into the hands of homeless people in our community. Each brown snack bag will include a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a bag of chips, a granola bar, an orange, and a small bottle of water. We are also accepting donations to purchase items at bethelphoenix.com/donate. We thank you very much for your support!

Thank you very much to everyone who supported the Kol Nidre Food Drive on September 27, 2020! We donated a grand total of 2,846 pounds, a new record for our congregation consisting of 2,333 pounds of food and 513 pounds of clothing/small household items! Our donation will help many families who are in need.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Father's Day Sack Lunch Drive on June 21, 2020! With your help, we were able to donate 550 sack lunches to the Arizona Friends of the Homeless-- the most they have ever received from a single organization! These donations went directly to local people experiencing homelessness.

Thank you very much to who supported our Hygiene Kit donation drive on October 25, 2020! We received 242 hygiene kits (plus $108 to purchase bulk kits) that were delivered to Project Haven's homeless seniors! Yasher Koach to our community for supporting the good work of Central Arizona Shelter Services.
Thank you to everyone that supported the Joan Sitver Backpack Drive on August 30, 2020! We raised and donated 250 backpacks, 35 boxes of school supplies, and $960 for the Valencia Newcomer School. This will help replenish their supplies for the entire year.
